I agree with most of what you said, but the database products in linux are very poor. They are not nearly as easy to use as Access. And they don’t have anything like a VBA Editor. you need to know all the syntax to write macros with base. It takes much longer to write macros with a normal text editor like code editor.

You should never make a web site for a specific resolution. Who is the web site aimed at, who are your client’s clients? What screen sizes will they have?

If he wants you to use a background image without repeating, you could use CSS to do that, but you would have empty space where the image ends.

If you want your background to repeat vertically only you need this CSS:

body { background-repeat: repeat-y; }

CSS Background on W3Schools

Also, what are you using the background image for? Is it to be covering the whole background? That is usually a bad idea.

Do you have a png of the layout? I could answer more If I see it.

I am creating a Web site for someone who has a 1920×1200 resolution. I have 1024×768 and am struggling to make a Web site or Web page for that matter that looks good on his screen. He wants me to use a background image without a repeat. I was hoping that I could make the background color the same as the background image’s background color. Do you have any thoughts on that?
